Graduation 2019

Hello!  I have a fun graduation project to share with you today.  My oldest daughter will be graduating from High School on Monday and I wanted to try to make an accordion card for her.

I got the SVG file for this card from Lori Whitlock.  I cut the pieces out in my daughter's school colors.  I didn't use the text that came with the file, so I pulled out one of my Lawn Fawn planner sets to put 2019 on the center panels.  I colored the numbers with a green Sakura stardust gel pen.  The mortar board caps on the top panels are also Lawn Fawn, I colored them with BIC Markits and the same green gel pen as the numbers.

Here's a closer look at one of the sides.  This was so fun to make, I can't wait to try more.

Here it is all folded down.  I used a silver Sakura stardust gel pen for the cap on the top.  For the hanger, I used some twine from my stash.

Pop up box card

Hello Friends!  I'm back with a pop up box card to share.

I used the pop up box card die from Lawn Fawn for the card base and layers.  The paper is from my stash.  The stamps are from the Time Traveler and Lawn Fawn Out of the World stamp sets.  The stars were cut out of some DP I had in my stash.  I haven't added a sentiment yet, I'll add it when I'm ready to send it to someone.

Birthday

Hello!  I have some more birthday cards to share with you.  I made made about 10 of these in 3 different colors.

The stamps I used are from a Ranger Letter it stamp set.  The DP is from a scrap pack I found at Wal Mart.  I used a Stampin' Up border punch for the decorative border.

I decided to change it up a little for this one.  The DP is from the $1.99 section at JoAnn.

Happy Birthday

Hello again!  I have some birthday cards to share with you.  I've been asked to make the birthday cards for the Relief Society (women's organization in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) for our ward, so I can up with a design and used a few different stamp sets to make the 10 cards we needed for January.

The stamps I used came from a couple different sets from Honey Bee Stamps.  The sentiment is Cardz TV stamps.  The paper is from the $1.50 section at JoAnn.

I made 2 of each design.

Valentine Box

Hello!  I'm a little late sharing, but I have a fun Valentine box to share with you.

I found this little box at Lori Whitlock and used my Cricut to cut it out.  I actually ended up making about 40 of these.  For the white sentiment layer I just shrunk down the heart layer by 1/4" and cut it out.  The sentiment is Stampin Up.

These little boxes hold 4 kisses in them.  A fun little treat for your Valentine.  I actually ended up making about 40 of these.  Hubby needed something to share at work and I made some for my kids and a couple of friends.  They're so easy to put together.

Thanks for visiting.  Have a great day.

Ho, Ho, Ho

Hello!  I have a couple of fun Christmas cards to share with you today.  I've actually been able to fit in a bit of crafting time lately.  Not much posting as I had been asked by a few friends for on of the advent Christmas trees I shared in my last post.  That is a bit time consuming.  Here is my card.

I used cut aparts from a sheet of American Crafts christmas paper.  The rest of the paper is from some journaling cards I've had in my stash.  I think they're from Paper Studio.

Isn't this such a fun image?

Christmas Tree Advent

Good morning!  Do you all like advent calendars as much as I do?  My kids love them and so we have a few different ones that we do every year.  Some with candy and some without, we don't want them too sugared up.  When I saw this new Christmas Tree advent calendar at Lori Whitlock, I just had to give it a try.  Here is what I came up with.

Here is the tree before I added all the little pockets.  I think it would make a fun decoration by itself.

These are all the little pockets ready to be added to the tree.  The smallest ones are pretty small and it was fun to find something to fit in it, but we did find something.

Here is the tree with all the pockets added.  I had a little difficulty lining them up, but, I think that's more due to the lighting in my house than anything else.

And the tree with the pockets filled.  I think my kids are going to have a lot of fun with this.

I used some Spectrum Noir clear Sparkle on the star for a little bit of shine.

I'm entering this at Just Keep on Creating.

Unicorn Shadow Box Card

Hello!  I know I'm still a little bit of a slacker.  I've been working on a big project for a friend and it's taking me a while to complete.  Hopefully I'll be done by the end of the weekend and can get myself into gear to get some Christmas cards done before it gets too late.

I have a fun shadow box card to share with you today.

I used a file from Lori Whitlock to cut out the card.  Isn't it gorgeous.  It was supposed to be or my daughter's birthday back in July, but, well, better late than never I guess.

Thanks for visiting.  Have a great day.

Happy Halloween

Hello!  I hope you're all having a fun Halloween.  I have a couple more Halloween cards to share with you.  I've been trying to get this post up, but chasing 2 toddlers makes it a little difficult.  I used the Creepy Critters cart to cut these both out on my Cricut.

I love the sentiment banner on this one.

Isn't that the cutest ghost?

Thanks for visiting.  Have a great day and be safe.

It's Inktober

Hello!  It's been a few weeks again.  I do have projects to share, but the lighting here has been terrible and I can't seem to get good pictures of anything.  Hopefully, I'll be able to share them soon.

So, I've never heard of this, but October is Inktober.  Do you participate?  The goal is just to draw something in ink each day in October.  I decided it would be fun and even got a couple of my kids to play along with me.

Here are the first 7 days that I've done using the prompts from the Inktober IG.

Day 1 was poisonous, so I drew mushrooms.

Day 2 was tranquil.  I decided a nice stream on a hill would be good.

Day 3 was roasted.  I love roasting marshmallows over a fire, so here is what I came up with.

Day 4 was spell.  I figured everyone would be doing things to do with magic, so I went with spelling homework for school.

Day 5 was chicken.  I love fried chicken and my daughter loves chicken legs.

Day 6 was drooling.  I had a little harder time with this one, but here it is.

Yesterday was exhausted.  I love owls, so I drew a sleeping one.

I'm going to share these at Just Keep on Creating for their Oct. anything goes link up.

Thanks for visiting.  Have a great day.

Wonderful Birthday

Good morning!  I have a fun birthday card that my daughter requested for her friend's birthday.  I had fun making this one and used up a lot of scraps on it.

I used the She's Wonderful stamp set from Kindred Stamps.  The image is colored with Bic Markits.  I cut the "shooting stars" out of a scrap piece of DP I had in my stash, hopefully you can see all the sparkly glitter.  The other DP is also from my stash.  The sentiment and pop up box card die cut box iare Lawn Fawn.

I wasn't sure how this would turn out when I was making all the plans in my head and having my daughter pick out all the details, but I'm actually quite happy with the finished design.
